MAROCCO IMPERIALE

The trip to Morocco begins. You land in Casablanca, and from the airport you are taken by private transfer to our hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have some free time for a first taste of Morocco. Before dinner, meet your escort and the rest of the group.

Set off for Meknes, a Unesco World Heritage Site and the most impressive of the Imperial Cities. Admire the 40 km of walls and ramparts enclosing the new city and the Medina, with the enchanting Bab El Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After lunch, visit the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. Reach Fes where dinner awaits, and in the evening those who wish can participate in an optional excursion by night.

Devote the whole day to a guided tour of Fes. The oldest of the Imperial Cities envelops you with its charm intact over the centuries. We walk along the wide avenues of the new medina Fès el Jedid and cross the extensive pedestrian area of Fès El Bali, with its colourful souks wafting with the smells of leather and spices. We visit the famous Madrassa al Attarine and the Najjarine Museum. Inside the souk, we can also visit a tannery in detail, admire its products and learn all about its workmanship, and a handicraft ceramics factory. Lunch and dinner are included.

Today's day includes a long drive, beginning with a visit to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, also known as the ‘Garden of Allah’ because of its many green spaces. Lunch is included in the course of the visit. In the late afternoon, the route continues to Marrakech. Dinner is included at the hotel.

Today you visit this fascinating city starting with the Menara Gardens. You will then pass by the Koutoubia, the city's iconic minaret, and arrive in the Medina: walking through its lively and colourful alleys, discover the splendour of the Bahia Palace, considered one of the masterpieces of traditional Arab architecture. You also visit the Madrasa Ben Youseff. After lunch, enjoy some free time in the city before an optional sunset excursion to the Agafay desert with dinner included. Alternatively, dinner is free.

The morning is free, or there is an optional visit to the Majorelle Gardens, an oasis of peace and nature in bustling Marrakech. After lunch, we move on to Djema El Fnaa Square, bustling with jugglers, snake charmers, stalls and noisy spice sellers. Stop at a café overlooking the square to enjoy some Moroccan tea, admiring the life of the square as the evening approaches. Dinner is free or an optional dinner is available at a traditional palace in the medina.

Transfer to Casablanca, the second largest metropolis in the Arab world. Admire Hassan II Square and walk to the outside of the Hassan II Mosque. This is the only mosque in Morocco that is also open to non-Muslims, so depending on the time available and the religious services taking place, you can also visit it inside (for a fee). After lunch, we continue our city tour and arrive at the hotel in time for dinner.

The trip to Morocco has come to an end. Depending on the time of your return flight, you may still have some free time to devote to shopping or sightseeing on your own, before being taken to the airport in time to board your flight back to Italy.
